Frenchwomen have great lingerie. As we learned from reading my pal Jamie Cat Callan’s book, Frenchwomen Never Sleep Alone, their bras and panties are matched sets. (She also says the ladies are apt to have a sensual surprise for their man when they undress, "like wearing a red silk slip under their all black, very chic and simple ensemble.") The current favorite panty styles are lace boy shorts or lace deep Vs with the tops of the V striking the hipbones. No thongs. (Thongs are so over.) Frenchwomen buy expensive camisoles and tap pants and teddys in luscious silk and lace, as high in quality as they can afford. (In general, Frenchwomen buy fewer wardrobe pieces, be it teddys or pencil skirts, in higher quality of fabric and cut, than American women do—and then spend more money to have them tailored to fit perfectly. I love the racks in Paris shops, not crowded like ours, each offering something special. The classic teddy colors are black, white, ivory and the palest shade of pink, like the fading glow of orgasm on the cheeks.
Some teddys are flirty and almost shy, with little shorts; others, like the one pictured, rise high and expose the globes of the ass—and it is these globes on which we focus now, followed perhaps by attention paid to the tender anal opening.
