In "Why A Lesbian Club Made Me Consider Switching Teams," on lemondrop, "Beth Brennan", a straight girl in a lesbian club admits that she was "probably one cranberry vodka away from being gay for a night, whatever that means."
Beth is a collective pseudonym for lemondrop.com's sex/relationships bloggers on their "more sensitive" stories. (Now why didn't I think of that YEARS ago?! Too late now.)
It's a good story, fun--and provocative. Recent research indicates that women's sexuality is more fluid than men's. Straight women become aroused by gay and lesbian porn, while straight men don't get turned on by the gay stuff. Women are more likely to be bi-sexual than men. Lisa Diamond, author of Sexual Fluidity, says in an interview: "Some people get nervous about sexual fluidity. It challenges their sexuality."
Beth was on the dance floor "getting turned on" when it hit her--"I'm not gay." But maybe, if she goes out with the girls again, she might be tempted to play gay.
